Professional Booking – Morty's Pro-Comedian Philosophy At Morty's, we recognize that comedic talent is our primary product, and we value comedians in a way few other comedy clubs can. That's because Morty's Comedy Joint is co-owned by standup comedian Eric Shorts (Indianapolis Funnyman Champion, Sierra Mist "Next Great Comic" Winner). As a comedian himself, Eric leads a management team that understands professional touring comedians are intelligent, talented people at the top of their field who deserve respect.

To foster this respect, Morty's offers its comedians a better-than-average pay scale, as well as quality lodging accommodations (for our-of-town performers) that are convenient to restaurants, bars and shopping. All drinks and food are complimentary for comedians while performing at Morty's, and comedians are welcome to relax in our comfortable Green Room between performances.

BRING IT! Tuesday Showcase (Starting December 4th)

Morty's Comedy Joint believes strongly in fostering local and upcoming talent through regular Tuesday Showcase nights. We understand the importance of providing a comedy-friendly environment for amateur comedians to hone their material in front of a "real" audience. That's why Tuesday nights will feature a comedy "showcase," combining both amateur and professional comedians -- established comedians will perform shorter segments (about 20 minutes), intermixed with very short performances by amateur entertainers.
